Bad Moon Rising was the first single from the
album Green River released in April 1969 four
months before the album. The song reached #2 on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart and #1 on the UK singles chart; it was CCR's second gold single.
Proud Mary was the first.
Green River is ranked #95 on Rolling Stone's list of 500 greatest albums of all time. CCR played at Woodstock but was not included in the film.
